Review of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) by Dustin D — 08 Aug 2013
If only the kids' acting was better! The Harry Potter books are my all-time favorite books, and the movies do a pretty good job of bringing them to life (in spite of the fact that so much material had to be cut).
Fortunately the quality of the kids' acting greatly improves in the later movies. The kids' acting was the only flaw; most of the time it's ok, but at times it's a little distracting, In every other way, this movie deserves 5 stars.
