Review of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) by Petros T — 18 Oct 2015
Kickstarting the much-beloved Harry Potter saga, this adventure from 2001 delivers the goods: at its core lies a sweet, relatable tale, which is paired with dark scenes and imagery, thus resulting in a two-for-one deal, much like the book.
It's well-made, the cast is very convincing and, all in all, it's the introduction to the grandiose universe of an epic franchise; a franchise that a lot of people the same generation as Harry and his friends keep very close to their hearts.
