A solid start to the Harry Potter series, it is a fun and magical experience. The movie is at times bogged down by it's strict adherence to the book, as it seems to cram as much of the book as possible into the movie.
But great books don't always make great movies...for the most part it works here, but it can feel tedious and slow.
