Director David Yates gives his best work till date. This is the longest book and it is my least favourite book. I shall discuss the reason in detail. This film is one of the most innovative of all HP films. The director uses much of his artistic freedom in this film, the critics call it lack of justice to the novel.

I favor the novel least and like the film more for one aspect. It took me 2 watches to understand the film, only after reading the book I got a real idea about the story. One of the most unfair things in the story is the death of Sirius Black. See,in the novel it is shown that Sirius dies because of his arrogance, his over confidence and his careless and childlike behavior and laughing in the battle field. The same laugh of Sirius is mentioned in the last book before the death of Bellatrix Lestrange. Harry remembers that Sirius also laughed like Bellatrix, with full of overconfidence and he knew what was going to happen next to Bellatrix. In the fifth book, Dumbledore blames Sirius for his own fate. This is a serious acquisition. Sirius Black is one of my favourite characters in the film series and novel alike. Sirius cannot have such an ignoble death. Thanks to director David Yates, the injustice by J.K Rowling is rectified. In the film Sirius is taken by surprise after he had saved Harry from the Death eaters. In his last breath he looks at Harry with hopelessness and grief, I liked that scene really well because Sirius had a nobler death and he saw Harry before he finally closed his eyes. The scene where Dumbledore blames Sirius for his own death is absent in the film. Gary Oldman's portrayal of Sirius Black is acknowledgeable.
