Review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009) by Baurushan J — 18 Jan 2013
In the previous film, Harry struggled so hard to kill Voldemort but he has got no clue how to do it. In this film, Dumbledore gives him the instructions to defeat him by meeting his new Dark Arts teacher, Professor Slughorn who has a long history with Tom Riddle (Voldemort's real name) ever since Tom was a child.
To me, this is the fourth most underrated out of all the sequels from the Harry Potter franchise. Yes half of them are quite underrated while the rest are liked. Also, this is the darkest out of the entire franchise, the fucking darkest! I could take Cedric's death in Harry Potter 4, I could take Sirius Black's death in Harry Potter 5 but in this movie, you had the balls to kill of Dumbledore, the fucking wizard who looked after Harry, protected him and believed every single innocent word he said.
The other deaths, fine but fucking Dumbledore, that's insane. You know how emotional that was when I watched that in the cinema? It was the most darkest experience I have ever sat through! That is the equivalent of Spock's death from Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan, you just never saw it coming.
