Review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009) by Javan W — 08 Dec 2012
Measurably better than it's predecessor despite it being a teen melodrama. For some reason the filmmakers thought a full out comedy was necessary. Because of it's overly light and jovial tone, the events that take place in the last 30 minutes tend to feel under sold and you can't grasp the weight/importance of them.
While I enjoyed parts quite a bit this was an overall a weak setup for the concluding events.
