Review of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) by Brian H — 10 Aug 2016
Harry Potter returns in his fourth year at Hogwarts, where a magical inter-school tournament is taking place... one for which he is mysteriously entered for with malicious intentions. With a young cast giving their best and complex performances yet and an older cast as brilliant as ever, this Harry Potter film is the typical fantasy adventure, tipped off with the hormone-riddled atmosphere of teenage romance and comedy.
Ralph Fiennes joins the cast as Lord Voldemort giving a stand-out performance and Daniel Radcliffe also carries the film the best he has so far. Though it can feel a little packed and predictable, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is an entertaining and mostly slick film, that heightens the ever-growing suspense of the Potter franchise.
