Well what a disappointment David Yates has been to the Harry Potter franchise. Having made such a completely un-enjoyable mess of Half Blood Prince my wife and I were completely put off seeing Deathly Hallows part a at the cinema, despite having seen all the movies so far on the big screen.
However, a week ago we thought we were proven wrong after watching part a on DVD. We found it to be a surprisingly enjoyable, yet bleak film.
