Review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011) by Atthemovies — 14 Jul 2011
Deathly Hallows Part 2 is easily the best Harry Potter movie. As basically every sane person has been saying, it successfully closes the best movie franchise in existence. Some of the scenes get an emotional reaction that I didn't think possible from a series originally thought of as being for kids.
Any person with actual human emotion will be in tears, or on the verge of it from when Snape dies, until after Harry has used the Resurrection Stone. The acting is at the apex of the entire series, and although the score is not the most magical, it is the most dramatic and fitting for the atmosphere of the movie.
The special effects seem incredibly real. We finally got to see some bad-ass scenes from some people that if you read the book, knew were bad-ass (Mrs. Weasely, McGonagall). All in all, a perfect end to the most magical and best series in modern film-making.
