Review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011) by Stephen Z — 05 Aug 2014
As far as finales go, "The Deathly Hallows Part 2" is as good as it gets. What "Part 1" offered in plot, "Part 2" makes up for in action. The film jumps into the action almost immediately with the break-in into Gringotts and continues to be an adrenaline thrill ride with The Battle of Hogwarts.
I can't say enough good things about this film. Along with the amazing action, this film is also a great dramatic piece. The memory sequences of Snape are really great and I think we get Alan Rickman's best performance in the series. Also, when Harry uses the Resurrection Stone to talk to his loved ones, it is a very touching moment, and Radcliffe really sells it.
"The Deathly Hallows Part 2" is a fun, thrilling, visual spectacle. Everything has been leading up to this and everything comes full-circle here. This film is so great and should be seen by everyone. So do yourself a favor and go see the other seven first so that you're caught up for this one.
