Review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010) by Phillip M — 07 Nov 2012
One of the weaker ones, and a little slower in pace than the others, but still stands the test, and gets better in the end. And for good reason, because the whole point of this movie is to prepare us for the grand epic finale, the final battle between good and evil.
I remember hearing about the whole idea of splitting it into 2 parts a few years ago, and how flabbergasted I was by it. But now, I see it was kind of necessary, there were far too many important elements in the plot, and it had to be split.
I don't think it would have done so well if they had decided to put it into one movie, it definitely would have been way worse than this one alone. I think they made a good decision splitting it in two, and is instead of having one horrible movie, we have one good movie, and one GREAT movie.
Good enough pacing, decent plot line, awesome acting and character, as always, good action scenes and effects, and well put together with a good cliffhanger.
