Nah, fuck it. I love this movie, and I can't stand it how everyone else says it's too boring and just filler before the last one. You know what? I don't like the last one that much at all. And if it weren't for this, then I would not have liked anything by David Yates.

But I just remember walking out of the cinema after this one, and for the first time thinking that they had finally delivered not just a great Harry Potter film, but an excellent film in general. I thought that this one would never turn out well because of all the times the main characters use polly-juice potion.

But in fact, the scene when they infiltrate the Ministry is probably one of my favourite parts (I just love the way it manages to be both hilarious and intense at the same time). I love the dancing scene between Harry and Hermione.

I love the animated section about the Deathly Hallows. The part when that teacher gets eaten by the snake is such an effective beginning, and it perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the movie. I loved the part when Harry fights the snake, and when Ron opens the first horcrux.

You know, there isn't really a single thing I don't love in this movie. The acting is easily the strongest it's ever been, and Yates finally acts like a proper director and puts some creativity into the movie that isn't already set out by the source material.

The only thing they kind of did wrong was not having Dobby return in any of the previous movies, thus not quite managing the emotional weight that his death should have had. I just think that it alienates those who have not read the books ten times each.

Because for them, the only time they've known the character of Dobby was from way back in the 'The Chamber Of Secrets', and he was fucking annoying in that. I find it ironic that Hedwig's death and Mad Eye's death are so much sadder - even though the former is blasted away instantly, and the latter is never even seen - and yet the fan boys (well, girls) get all the fuck upset about Dobby's death when he felt like nothing more than an afterthought thrown in at the last half hour of the film, (as if they just suddenly remembered, and were like, "Oh, shit, isn't that elf supposed to die in this one").

It would be sort of like bringing Colin Creevey back, and saying, "Hey, remember this douchebag? We're going to kill him off now, so even though you haven't seen him in four movies, you have to be sad, okay?".

But I digress. It is still a little sad. And everything else in this film is just awesome. It's like the only Harry Potter where I don't have to feel a little embarrassed about liking it so much.
