When Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows stripped down to 2 parts, I actually thought that was the right thing to do and was the only thing in young adult book adaptations that make sense and never seem to do it for money.

When Twilight done it, it doesn't make sense, and when The Hunger Games done it, it makes even less sense, and I'm a fan of the Hunger Games. So with this, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 may feel like the prelude to Part 2, but it still holds out on its own.

The camerawork is really good, and the soundtrack by Alexander Desplat is good also. The movie mostly rest on the the three main leads, and they are great as usual. The movie is definitely the most serious out of all the Harry Potter films which was argued that it took some of the magic away.

Also the middle was really slow which some people would get bored at, but I wasn't bored at all. It still has some funny moments, but not as many though which was a bit disappointing. The effects gets more and more impressive from every Harry Potter film to the next, and there's some really good chase scenes that got me excited.

There was some convenient moments that just came out of nowhere, and the Snatchers were underused and I didn't really know much about them. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 isn't going to be anyone's favorite Harry Potter movie and quite frankly, I think it's the least best, but it's still a nice addition to the series.
