Why would you have your best character petrified for half the movie? The second Harry Potter movie isn't much different than Star Trek Into Darkness, they run around a lot having all sorts of near misses, being lucky not to get killed, which natutally makes them heroes.
To my surprise it doesn't even go very far down the 'funny stuff kids would do with magic' road. It just doesnt entertain me.
