Review of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) by James W — 22 Dec 2013
Although it's not as mystical as the first movie, Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets takes on a more darker and more threatening tone that certainly makes it a standout in the franchise, as characters you thought were untouchable suffer the wrath of an ancient evil that is stalking the corridors of Hogwarts, and "petrifying" the students leaving the school deemed unsafe.
When writing in blood is discovered on the walls Harry, Ron and Hermione look suspicious, but after narrowly avoiding punishment the trio are determined to uncover the mystery of the Chamber Of Secrets which has been opened after many years.
With bigger and more stunning sets the world of Harry Potter expands vastly in this sequel, the look of the Chamber is incredible, and the improved visuals only make things better. After the success of the first movie you can tell the creators have gone above and beyond to immerse you into this magical world, and J.
K Rowling's characters are even more interesting, and older, than before as they face new challenges, learn new spells and make it impossible for us viewers not to be drawn in.
