Review of Harry Brown (2009) by Brendan C — 16 Oct 2010
This has been pegged as a British take on Gran Torino, but while there are some similarities it has as much in common with Death Wish for mine. Michael Caine is excellent (perfectly cast as well) and the entire film has a gritty, menacing vibe.
The scene where he visits the junkies' house is incredibly off-putting. Well worth a look.
