Review of Harry Brown (2009) by Jakob S — 16 May 2011
It´s hard not to see Michael Caine being the protagonist in a movie like this. it´s simply made for him. Playing a pensioner living in a troubled area, he and his best friend lives in a tenement and sees how the neighborhood has gone to the sewer.
They feel helpless and useless, until Harry´s friend is killed. Suddenly he takes the law into his owns hand, but this is not Dirty Harry, just Harry Brown. It´s a believable story and it leaves the audience with a "that could easily happen" at the end.
Really enjoyed the pace and story of this one.
