Review of Harry Brown (2009) by Joe T — 09 Nov 2012
Once I started the movie I felt it wasn't going to be as good as I was wanting but once a few things past and the movie gets going, it really gets good. Michael Caine is amazing in everything he does and even in this he kicks some serious ass.
I always pictured him as a serious actor but this shows a new side of his acting that he really can handle an action movie. It keeps you entertained a lot and makes you ask for more. The only thing that bothered me was that when someone usually gets shot the blood was CGI even when someone was stabbed the blood staining the guys shirt was CGI.
It's not that big of a problem but it is very noticeable. I would really like to see more action flicks with Michael Caine as the lead role. Lastly one thing I really liked after reading a review and noticing it too was that the female cop never became a love interest or just a boring character.
That usually always bombs the movie or ruins the main character. But with all that aside it was a entertaining film.
