Review of Harry and Tonto (1974) by Joel A — 25 Feb 2013
The very touching & charming film of a 70 year old widower who is kicked out of his apartment in NYC & begins his new life with his beloved cat Tonto.
Art Carney who played Harry solely deserved the Oscar he won for his role he was so contagious & likable character to watch on screen. He had an incredible way of connecting people throughout the whole film.
As funny as this film it is also very honest & filled with appropriate sadness, many scenes will touch your heart. This is a one of a kind film a real treat to watch...
