Harriet Tubman deserved a lot better than this cringe-worthy, poorly acted, poorly directed mess. The lead didn't do anything to make herself believable, and her singing parts sounded so weird it helped deem the movie unwatchable.
People desperately want this movie to be meaningful because of the subject matter, but it's embarrassingly close to a Hallmark production.
