Review of Harold's Going Stiff (2011) by Sally A — 12 Oct 2012
This could have been so much better but I don't think it knew whether it wanted to be a comedy or not. There is some lovely British humour here - Harold's special blend of tea for instance - but it doesn't quite stretch far enough, nor does the story for that matter.
There are a few loose threads that are not tied up and it all felt a bit rushed, like the filmmakers had this great idea with lots of tongue-in-cheek winks and nods but it fizzled out. Good but had the potential to be great.
