Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Louise B — 11 Jan 2009
Great acting, great music, great script. I love all of Harold's quirky fake suicide attempts. His mother is hialrious too. I especially love the scenes with the blind dates, the car thefts and the tree rescue.
I also love that in There's Something About Mary, Mary refers to this as the greatest love story of our time!! It's a very progressive movie for 1971. This is one of the best cult classic movies out there! I can't think of another film that so brilliantly uses death to illuminate the meaning of love and life.
