Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Steve K — 10 Mar 2009
I saw this lst night after many years, the movie is funny, dark, uplifting,,,, Ruth Gordon's performance is a delight and the strange love story is made believable. Obviously written for the 60's, early 70's but the wonderful treatment of teenage ennui meeting the vibrancy of life in a woman who chooses to live life fully is really timeless.
Bud Cort is perfect as the stoic, almost disbelieving young man brought to life by Maude.
