Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Alexander Z — 28 Apr 2011
Maude exemplifies the stereotypical woman in movies that is quirky, one-dimensional, yet full of life who teaches a man to grow. Luckily, Maude is far more developed than typical examples of this. Harold and Maude is better than most films that use this formula, and has the benefit of being older than most who have copied the idea.
A sweet movie, with excellent simple humor, but I've never been as enamored of it as some people.
