Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Tommi L — 23 Feb 2012
Well filmed by a director known for his dark comedies but this movie is made unbearable by our main character Harold and to a lesser extent Maude. Harold is so unbelievably bland and boring as if he's the uninteresting younger brother of Alex from "A Clockwork Orange" and Maude is just annoying.
Its obvious too that this movie laid the framework for every hipster movie in existence by focusing on "social outcasts who are quirky but loveable" and overlaying your entire film with indie acoustic guitar crap.
