Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Alun W — 28 Apr 2012
Most films I loved as a teenager and watched again many years later have disappointed to some extent, but this one has really stood the test of time for me. I'm more struck now by the comedy than the pathos, but only the most miserable of people can fail to enjoy this very life affirming film about death and suicide.
The soundtrack is possible Cat Steven's finest hour. This film well deserves is reputation as a cult classic.
