Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Trevor R — 30 Apr 2014
It's a delightful surprise to find such a dark, demented comedy that is still utterly devoid of cynicism. Cort, Gordon, and Pickles are all perfect, and Cat Stevens soundtrack is the greatest. The priest's extemporaneous lecture on the nature of sex with an old woman is one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen.
A wonderful, charming, uplifting movie.
