Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Nefnie L — 02 Jan 2010
A quirky film about life, love, and death. Ruth Gordon is a hoot as Maude, a 79 year old eccentric full of life; who teaches Harold, a 20 year old obsessed with death and dying, how to live. A unique relationship forms between the two that, in the wrong hands, could have come across a little creepy; but actually works in showing that love really has no bounds.
A great lesson to be learned about living life without self-made rules imposed by worrying about what others think.
