Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Ps G — 02 Feb 2010
A visibly influential film, Harold and Maude is gracefully directed by Hal Ashby and excellently performed by its cast. Retaining a fantastic offbeat sensibility in every scene, it is filled with scenes that are played in ways we would never expect to see.
The result is a movie that evokes emotions in surprising and very special ways. I'm not a die-hard Cat Stevens fan, but the way his music accompanies these images is brilliant. This film would be hard not to love.
