This is one of my favorite movies ever. Bud Cort plays an extremely convincing death obsessed teenager while Ruth Gordon's whimsical, fun-loving character is a brilliant foil to him. In this master-piece there is humor, emotion, brilliant acting, and love.
If you have never seen this amazing film then you need to go at watch it. Right now.
