Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Rainer U — 17 Dec 2011
It's almost too quirky and offbeat in the beginning for me. Then it stops and from that moment on it gets sweeter and more endearing by the second, even after the film is over. I'm not a huge Cat Stevens fan but after seeing this I might become one.
His songs fit the film like jigsaw pieces. Hal Ashby once again shows his steady hand as a director by mixing tones effortlessly. I like this movie alot right now but I could easily see myself loving it as time goes on.
