Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Jon P — 27 Mar 2012
Thanks to its magnificent screenplay and jarring, bittersweet plotting, Hal Ashby's cult classic is undoubtedly one of the greatest and most memorable movies of the 1970s. The film descends from the hilarious and eccentric into the romantic and bizarre, combining quick-fire black comedy with morbid drama and a wonderfully apt soundtrack.
Death, life and love like you've never seem them before. Essential viewing for movie maniacs.
