The best comedies are always intelligent, no matter how stupid they might be. Harold and Kumar go to White Castle is a very good comedy. It's also very intelligent...while still being incredibly stupid.
This is a movie where two very stoned protagonists ride a cheetah, a cheetah that's also stoned. This is also a movie that interrogates the marginalization of visible minorities, as well as life, love, and the pursuit of happiness using White Castle burgers and marijuana as incentives.
The result is a film that has to be one of the best comedies of the 2000s. I repeat: two very stoned protagonists ride a very stoned cheetah. And NPH shows up. Boo yeah.
