The universe tends to unfold as it should.

Okay, so I'm not generally a fan of stoner humor, and not generally a fan of crude humor but I actually found myself entertained.

The Story: Two stoners wander around New Jersey looking for a fast food joint... That's pretty much it, in their search for the perfect fast food though, they find themselves running into trouble at every turn. This film isn't super stylish, but it's got a look to it that's hard to put your finger on. And it's script, while having some terrible crude humor such as "battle sh*ts", still manages to retain a small sense of integrity and cleverness, poking fun at racist cops and guys that want to be "EXTREME!". This film is actually more than your average stoner movie. Look to this before you look to Half Baked.

The Cast: John Cho, Kal Penn... John Cho is Harold, a straight-laced investment banker that hates breaking the law... Even though he constantly breaks it by getting stoned. His performance is good and fitting to the film. A good character that any dork can relate to, even if they don't share the same habits. Kal Penn is Kumar, the care free happy go lucky guy, who happens to be a genius. He's viewer won't be able to relate to him as well as they can with Harold, but he really steals the show. A great humorous performance from both of them.

One to Five Scale: 4.

Despite it's moments of garbage, it still makes you laugh. This one makes for a great rental, even possible purchase, as it's a fun way to spend 88 minutes on a cold day.
