When I experienced seeing this movie for the first time, I couldn't stop laughing throughout the whole movie. Harold and Kumar go to White Castle has got to be a stoner comedy movie that works. Everything from this movie were memorable, including the humor. The chemistry between John Cho and Kal Penn was brilliant, and they both did good with their characters.
The plot focuses on two stoners, Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn), who got high decides to go to White Castle to get some munchies. As they make their way to that destination, it turns into a one hell of a joyride.
The story is simple and cheesy at times, but if you put that aside, then it's a straight up hilarious stoner film. All the stoners will love it, including the people who love smart comedy movies, like me. I mean what other stoner movies have more briliant story than this? The Big Lebrowski is one with at least a nearly perfect story, but they are all entertaining without a plot.
If you're the type of person who always repeat funny lines from Friday, Superbad, and every other good comedy movies like those two, then you'll surely repeat lines from this movie. I can't find any cheesy lines from this because they are too funny to get over. This is a definitely a classic not matter how simple the plot is.
