It's one of those movies that isn't that good....but I LOVE IT. The opening 30 minutes or so is some of the funniest 30 minutes on film, and the combination of Murphy, Pryor and Redd Foxx...it's a comedy dream team.
Once the movie gets into the actual story, it gets a little dull because there's an attempt at drama, rather than keeping the laughs rolling. But I'm able to overlook the movie's bland "home stretch" and focus on the hilarious parts.
..which is why I love it so much.
