If you watch this movie expecting anything else than a comedy movie set in back in the day Harlem then I can see why you didn't like it. But if you go into it expecting to laugh then you should like the movie as much as I do.
Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, Della Reese, and just about every up and coming black comic of the time equals a very funny movie thats stylishly shot, slick as a can of oil, and everything those watching should expect from a comedy.
