Review of Harlem Nights (1989) by Adorea C — 19 May 2007
Wanted to see this film for a very long time, two of my favourite comedians in one sitting, what could go wrong, right?
Murphy's direction is amateurish, I'm not saying Pryor was the greatest actor in the world but if you wanna see a very funny man completely under-used then look no further.
Made at the height of his success, this is Murphy indulging himself far more than he does the audience. Check out the ligthing in his close-ups, pure vanity.
