Review of Harlan County U.S.A. (1977) by Chuck C — 05 Jul 2008
Amazing documentary. Audience get close and personal with the coal-mining families to see the event unfold. The crew has incredible access, and the production is more like a movie instead of documentary.
Not only give you a real appreciation of the labor struggle, but provided an atypical example of gender role and politics.
