Review of Hardcore Henry (2015) by Omar L — 11 Apr 2016
While the story itself is nothing really new (the premise is so similar to Robocop that it almost is a carbon copy), the execution in an FPS-style format for the duration of the movie is at least novel.
Violent, bloody, and full of explosions and gunfire, it's like playing Call of Duty. Actually, it's like watching someone else play Call of Duty, which can be frustrating at times as the various places to look on the screen can cause a bit of Blair Witch-level nausea.
Sharlto Copley is a great presence throughout the movie, and it would not have been as good to watch if he was not in it.
