Hardcore Henry was a brilliant piece of filmography that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. Its target audience is not nearly as broad as most movies tend to be but I feel that that is to its credit; Hardcore Henry embraces the first person shooter genre completely and doesn't look back! It is non-stop action all the way through with pockets of humor not normally seen in today's films.

If you habitually play first person shooters or are intrigued by the world of virtual reality which is becoming more and more of a talking point you may appreciate this movie; that being said, the vast majority of you would probably not enjoy it for one or more of several reasons.

Gratuitous violence throughout-in the opening credits several gruesome combat wounds are demonstrated in slow-motion, and it actually gets worse as the movie progresses; nothing is spared in special effects and the combat is bloody and brutal.

Language in this movie is far from the worst but you definitely hear some colorful expressions of disdain. Sexual content is present and even a focal point at certain times; and drug use is also present.

If you struggle from vertigo then you should definitely take some motion sickness pills should you decide to go, but even with all this concerning subject material if you go with an open mind and a friend who can appreciate it you may have the greatest cinema experience of your life!
