Hardcore Henry is a throughly disappointing movie. I'm was very excited to see a film in first person perspective, but the film is a much better video game than film. Let's start with the positives.
I liked Sharlto Copley in his role. Everyone else was fine/serviceable. I liked some of the action in this film. But some of it was tiring. The film was very repetitive, with the exception of some scenes.
Also, the film barely has a plot. It starts as a generic revenge plot, but then turns much more confusing. It's hard to keep up with the film. It's also hard to care. You don't care about any of the characters.
They are all disposable. Overall, this would be a great video game to play. But in a movie, you need a good plot and characters to succeed. I was extremely disappointed.
