Utterly ridiculous, completely unrealistic and very hardcore, this is a wildly entertaining and action-packed ride, from start to finish. Its relentless pace leaves you no time, not one second, to be bored or think about what's going on.
The only fault is the lack of focus on the characters and their development which would allow the audience to tap into the emotional side of the story (which is almost non-existent and isn't particularly compelling), but if the aim was to translate an FPS into a film, then boy, have they done it.
This style isn't something that I could (or would want to) watch on a regular basis - once is probably enough - but that one time was a unique, completely insane, absolute blast of a time.
