Hong kong's john woo(face/off,windtalkers,paycheck),tackling his first 'american-directed' action packed movie-- like a drunken brawl-- couldnt b better.van damme looks cool with long hair for a change,whether its real or not,idk,lol,lance henriksen(pumpkinhead,pumpkinhead 3,aliens,alien versus predator),in his best bad guy performance,(except for mayb 'stone cold'),vosloo(the mummy,the mummy returns)even badder as jean claudes matching nemesis,introducing a pert and 'perty yancy butler,and brimley pulling up the rear with a mediochre french accent and to top it off, an all encompassing politically-turmoiled-louisiana backdrop make this movie the perfect jambalia of dark humor,stunts,explosions,firepower,and of course,plenty of van dammage,lmfao,my personal fav of van dammes usual ass-whooping kick-fests.
