Review of Hard Target (1993) by Paladin Of Odin — 01 Dec 2008
John Woo seems to struggle to make a decent American action film, and even with the "Muscles from Brussells" in the lead role he hasn't quite done it. Lance Henriksen and Arnold Vosloo play men who are arranging for wealthy businessmen to hunt the most dangerous prey.
.. man. Unfortunately for them they end up crossing paths with JCVD and it goes a bit pear shaped for them. Henriksen is definitely the best thing in the film and adds half a star just for being in it.
Wilford Brimley rounds the cast off nicely playing Van Damme's Cajun uncle armed with a bow and arrow and a lethal supply of moonshine.
