Review of Hard Target (1993) by Easton D — 09 Nov 2009
JCVD's mullet is what dreams are made of. John Woo is a hack and we all know this, his "greatest" Hong Kong films are embarrassing pieces of work save the overblown action sequences. Any scene not involving guns in The Killer (his most beloved work) are absolute rubbish as the man doesn't have any sense of drama or anything but cheap homages and gun battles.
He comes to America and makes the same goddamn films but his fans says he's lost it, whatever that means. This one is pretty mediocre albeit watchable, actually a pretty straightforward film that only goes retard a few times (Wilford and his diabetes, snake punching, and that pig Yancy Butler).
There's some gun fights, JCVD has a mullet and kicks people, Henriksen makes mean faces, bad cajun accent from Mr. diabeetus, end film.
