Review of Hard Target (1993) by Patrick C — 15 Nov 2009

There are some pieces of this film that haven't aged well but it is still kick ass action awesome. Van Damme doesn't have to try to act too much and that makes him sympathetic. Wilford Brimley, Arnold Vosloo and Lance Henriksen rule.

Vosloo is escpecially brilliant as the psychotic partner to Henriksen. Willie C. Carpenter is also good as Elijah. His eyes are so emotional you almost wonder if he is in the right film! So many good quotable lines and the movie's entire last half is one long shoot-out kung fu fight.

I miss movies like this!
