Review of Hard Target (1993) by Stefán Birgir S — 18 Jun 2010
John Woo's first step into Hollywood is one to remember as he directs Jean-Claude Van Damme as Chance Boudreaux (possibly the only straight sailor in existence) who is hired by journalist Natasha Binder (Yancy Butler) who is searching for her homeless father in New Orleans.
Their search leads them to a group of hunters led by Emil Fouchon (Lance Henriksen) who choose the homeless as their targets before hunting them down and murdering them for sport. Boudreaux swears revenge and gears up for action as he challenges the hunters at their own game through New Orleans resulting in some explosive action in Woo's own trademark style.
