Review of Hard Eight (1997) by Jake S — 09 May 2008
I'm tired so I'll be brief. An extraordinary directorial debut by the lord himself. The story is riveting, the acting is stellar especially by Philip Baker Hall who should be in way more films, hilarious cameo by Philip Seymour Hoffman, great cinematography.
. the plot got a little far-fetched at times, but the ending brought it all together perfectly.
