Review of Hard Eight (1997) by Nicole G — 31 Oct 2008
PT Anderson's is his most subdued but works because of Phillip Baker Hall and John C Reilly. Hall is some slick gambler with a mysterious past who brings Reilly out of his loser rut and becomes a mentorto him.
The supporting cast is good and this movie has a nice charm to it. Dialogue flows and there is some drama. I dug this.
